Consuelo Cruz, age 88, of Hemet, CA, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at Hemet Global Medical Center in Hemet, CA. Consuelo was born on February 25, 1932, in the small town of Michoacán, Mexico as the daughter of the late Jose Lopez and Maria Ceja. Consuelo was a hardworking woman, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother that loved and cherished her family.
Consuelo lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as gardening (especially tending to her roses), listening and singing to music, spending time talking with friends and family, and occasionally donating her money to the local casinos.
Holidays were very special to Consuelo because the entire family would gather at her house to celebrate, enjoying delicious meals, and passing along family traditions to the younger generations.
Consuelo is survived by her daughters, Adela Gil, Yolanda Cabanillas, Josefina Perez; son, Hermenejildo Cruz; brother, Abel Lopez; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
