Michelle Lee Oldham was born July 13, 1977 in Meriden, Connecticut the daughter of Lloyd W. Oldham and Valerie J. Johnson. She was raised in Meriden and then graduated from Maloney High School in 1995. She continued her education at Southern Connecticut University where she received a degree in Education and English. Michelle began teaching alternative education in Meriden where she helped students received their high school diplomas. After moving to Winter, WI she continued working in alternative education in Winter, Owen-Withee and Mercer School Districts. In Mercer, Michelle implemented the National Honor Society and worked with ASSE-International Student Exchange Programs. Michelle was passionate about education, whether it be furthering her own or educating others. One of her final accomplishments was receiving her Masters of Science Degree, something she had been striving towards while working full time as a teacher. Shelley will be remembered as a very loving and giving person who was always full of life. She loved her family, students, her dogs and going fishing.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Valerie (Lou) Rondeau of Ojibwa, WI; brother, Christopher (Kendra) Oldham of Ojibwa; step brother, David (Crystal) Rondeau of Monson, MA; step sister, Sarah (Dereck) Mordarski of Meriden, CT; aunts, Sandra (Russell) Johnson of Ojibwa, Donna (Marvin) Haugen of Exeland, Tammy (Steve) Armstrong of Winter; uncle, Stephen (Monica) Johnson of Winter; nephews, Dylan and Jonah Oldham; cousins, Jodi (Joe) Barbuto, April Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Shawn (Tanya) Johnson, Nathan Armstrong, Lance Armstrong, and Keith Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herman Johnson and cousin, Jessie Johnson.
A memorial service will be held for Shelley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, at the Wannigan in Ojibwa with Pastor John Lindblom officiating. A time of gathering will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the Wannigan.
