Edis M Dittmann

Eydie Marie was born August 15, 1943 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Ingvald and Ethel (Kent) Hanson. She graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, MN. Later, Eydie received her Associates of Arts Degree in Nursing from North Hennepin Community College. She served as a nurse first in Minneapolis then in Hayward, working 15 years at Golden Living-Valley of Hayward and then serving as a Hospice Nurse. Eydie also taught in the Nursing Assistant program at LCO College.

She is survived by her husband, Art Dittmann of Hayward, WI; sons Blaire (Maria) Elgren of Chanhassen, MN, Evan (Liz) Elgren of Hayward, WI, and Blake (Angie) Elgren of Rockford, MN; six grandchildren; step-children Cathy Crandall of Spooner, WI and Cary Dittmann of West Chicago, IL; sisters Ina Barton of Plymouth, MN, Clair Lambrecht of Medina, MN and Carla Darby of Mt. Vernon, OH.

Eydie was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service for Eydie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at First Lutheran Church, Hayward, WI with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the Lord of Life Church in Maple Grove at a later date.
