Born in New York City on January 29, 1953.
She passed on July 16, 2024 at the age of 71 in her home in Chappaqua, NY.
She was known by family and friends for her kindness, humor, political activism, and amazing taste. She loved to host dinners and big parties, especially with a theme. Wendy lived for her family, whom she adored and who adored her. She built a beautiful home with her husband Scott Breidbart, MD, whom she married in 1981. Together they created a life full of joy, family holidays, friend get-togethers, and great food. They had two beautiful children together: Lexi (Alexis) Joondeph-Breidbart and Gregory Joondeph-Breidbart. A talented artist and creative from a young age, Wendy enjoyed creating beautiful painted furniture for her children and for her future grandchild. She also designed a pocket book line under the name, Marwen. Wendy also loved her cats and raised her children to love cats and adopt some of their own. She even influenced her son-in-law, Ryan Linden to become a cat lover. Earning her PhD in psychology, she enjoyed building a meaningful practice and was beloved by her patients. Later on, she earned her JD and additionally helped couples through divorce mediation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Swim Across America, a charity for cancer research. A 1:30 pm Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday followed with the interment in the Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
