Dr.Samuel Kalman Perlman died on December 9; 2024.. He was born in the Bronx, New York on January 2, 1936 to Rachel Botkin Perlman and Louis Perlman. He attended New York University as an undergraduate and graduated New York University Dental School in 1961. He spent two years in the Navy, serving in the dental department on Marine Air Force Base in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Then he returned to New Rochelle where he had his own dental practice for 56 years.He and his wife of 65 years , Carol Bellin Perlman , lived in New Rochelle until 2013. He served as an officer of the 9th district Dental Board and had several positions at Beth El Synagogue in New Rochelle where he was a member since childhood.
He moved with his wife to Monroe Township, New Jersey in 2013. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughters, Sheri Perlman(Aharon Saad) and Lori Perlman ( Rafi Reguer) his son, David Perlman, and his grandchildren Ami Saad, Misha Saad, Jeremy Reguer, Jared Reguer, and Matthew Perlman, his nieces Michele and Karen, great nephews, Evan and Jacob, great niece Jordan and his sister in law, Marsha Perlman. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Dr. Melvin Perlman.
He loved music and opera, playing the piano, creating art and sculpture, cruising, wintering in Florida and singing in several choruses and spending quality time with his grandsons.
