Ted was well known for his quick wit, compassionate heart, infectious smile, larger than life personality, and was dearly loved by so many people blessed to cross his path. He spent many years as a truck driver before going on to become a nurse. Whether driving an 18-wheeler or caring for patients, he was beloved by those with whom he worked. He spent many years volunteering as a coach of his kids' baseball, basketball, and football teams, and one of his greatest passions was seeing his children and grandchildren playing sports. Ted was also a longtime fan of New Orleans Saints and LSU football, and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Throughout his life, he has been many things to many people. He will be loved and missed as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and coach.
Ted is preceded in death by his father, Cyrus Robinson, and his beloved mother, Helen Lasyone Martin. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Cosby Robinson; three brothers, Mark Robinson, Mike Robinson, and Steve Martin; three children, Cyrus Robinson, Trista Brown, and David Brown; step-children, Micah Guillory, Candace Keith, and Ben Nugent; 11 grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Ronnie Lambert, Dr. Geri San Pedro, Dr. Mike Sewell, Dr. Clint Wilson and the many other physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff for the extraordinary care provided to Ted throughout his illness.
