Born on March 9, 1951 in Marks, Mississippi to William Webster and Bertha Britton Self Winters, Shirley was strong willed, hard working, mother. She enjoyed her games and gardening and loved her animals. Although, nothing beat spending time with her family. Shirley was always ready for her scheduled TV shows and had the best, funniest sense of humor. She was never to hold her tongue and was always spoiled by her husband, John. She would never see a fault in anyone and lived her life to the fullest.
Shirley joins in Heaven her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, John T. Brown; children James Smith, of Texarkana, Texas, Shirley Taylor, of Haughton, Louisiana, Richard Smith, of Texarkana, Texas, and Bridget Isreal, of Camden, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters Patricia Russell, of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Mason Ware, of Batesville, Mississippi; and brothers Dennis Winters, of Parchman, Mississippi, and Jessie Winters, of Texarkana, Texas.
