A Celebration of Life Service for Roy “Lil Man” Harper will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Hill Crest Mausoleum. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. He was a member of Christ the King. His hobbies and career included welding/fabrication and worked for the State of Louisiana as a power plant engineer. Roy enjoyed “Taking Care of Business”. He loved his family, his dog Prissy and the music of Elvis Presley. Luther was preceded in death by his mother, JoeAnn Daugherty, father, Luther Harper, Sr, both of Shreveport, LA, Aunt Linda Daugherty, Uncle Carl Daugherty. He is survived by his sister, Pamela Broadway, nieces and nephews; Leah Broadway, Lindsey Gilreath, Keith Broadway, Lacie Broadway, and two great nieces and a nephew. He is also survived by beloved friends, Richard Ferguson, Larry Craig, Mike Tyler, Jim Kavanagh and Jerry Kelly.
