Robert, also affectionately known as Paw Paw, was born February 13, 1932, in Overton, Texas. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Williams, in 1954. They were married over 50 years until her passing in 2005.
Robert, an only child, was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Mae and Henry. He leaves behind two sons, Tom (Laura), and Mark (Linda), all of Bossier City. He was also the proud Paw Paw to nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Robert joined the service in 1952 and served until his honorable discharge. After leaving the Army he worked in food service, mostly with Pickett Food Service, before retiring with over thirty years of service.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home followed by the Celebration of Life service at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Reverend Barbara Driscoll of First Christian Church Bossier City. Robert will be laid to rest at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana.
