Patricia, better known as Trisha, was born on March 28, 1968 in Pasadena, Texas, and passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 53. She lived in many different places throughout her life, but ultimately found her home in Doyline, Louisiana.
Trisha was an extraordinary wife, nurturing mother--to her children and her fur-babies, proud GiGi, doting daughter, caring sister, and loving aunt. She took pride in her relationships with people. She loved fiercely, gave freely, and the compassion she felt for others was immeasurable. Her passions in life were many- She loved traveling, camping, crafting, and she never made a meal that was anything less than delicious. Trisha found fulfillment in volunteering at Seeds Women’s Center and the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, both located in Minden, Louisiana.
Trisha would consider being a mother one of her greatest achievements. She was a pillar of strength and the prime example of what motherhood should look like. She met her soulmate when she fell in love with her husband, Josh. They made each other laugh constantly, and the love she had for him was boundless. Becoming GiGi to her two grandsons gave her an overwhelming sense of joy. She would visit them any chance she could and spoke about them to everyone that would listen.
Trisha is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence E. Carter and Betty A. Tims; and her sister, Linda Carter.
Trisha is survived by her husband of 15 years, Joshua Richardson; son, James Mooney (Jeniffer Mooney); daughter, Ashley Mooney (Michael Garcin); grandsons, Ronan and Gael Mooney; sister, Tammy DeLeon and her husband Eliazar; and many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
A memorial service for Patricia will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Highway 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
