Pamela Jane Gage was born December 19, 1948 to the proud parents Melvin “Pete” and Mattie Gage, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was their pride and joy as she was also their only child.
"Pam" attended Caddo Exceptional School and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1970. Pam met the love of her life, Wilson "Butch" Harrington at the Caddo Exceptional School and they married on October 11, 1980. Both Pam and Butch were born with Cerebral Palsy and Butch pushed Pam down the aisle in her wheelchair to be wed. It was beautiful.
Pam greatly enjoyed reading all that she could get her hands on. She also loved to sing as well as loved her Lord Jesus Christ. The happy couple resided in Bossier City in their apartment until Pam was relocated to Riverview Care Center where Butch soon joined her to continuing their life together.
Preceding Mrs. Harrington in death were her parents: father Melvin “Pete” Claude Gage; and mother Mattie Ellen Simmons Gage and her uncle, Victor Simmons.
Left to cherish her memory, until they are reunited in Heaven is her beloved husband of 42 years, Wilson "Butch" Harrington.
Services in her honor will begin with a visitation between 10 and 11 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 6, 2022, with Pastor David Dietzel presiding. Each being hosted by Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton, with interment also taking place at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Riverview Care Center for their outstanding and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam’s honor may graciously be made to The First United Methodist Church of Bossier City.
