Opal was born on November 15, 1921 in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana to parents, George Dewey Farmer and Amber Rascoe Farmer and was one of three children born into that union.
Opal lived in several towns and cities but had a great love for Bossier Parish. She also loved being involved with the Air Force Sergeants Association and was, along with her family, a Charter Member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie A. Webb; son, Michael Wayne Bryant; two brothers and their wives, Cecil and Frances Farmer, and Billy Ray and Bonnie Farmer; son-in-law, John H. Edmiston; and her parents. She leaves behind her daughter, Jeanette Bryant Edmiston; grandchildren, Bobby Wayne Edmiston and wife Miche’al, Jonette Edmiston Vance and husband Tim, and William H. Edmiston and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Ashley Edmiston, Jesse Edmiston, Morgan Pye and husband Brad, Chris Vance, and Ivy Grace Edmiston; step-great-grandson, Cade Keene; and great-great-grandson, Payton Pye; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in memory of Opal to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Asbury United Methodist Church.
