Another picture of our team before conducting a load demonstration. He was a heck of a supervisor and awesome leader! He affectionately called us the Bayou Buff Stuffers and had it painted onto our flight line tool box.

It was a sad day to receive this news of a great friend and excellent supervisor has gone home.  He took this young airman and mentored me into a good airman.  He would get on to me for dumb mistakes, but always gave great advice on improving myself. When I left for England, I used his knowledge he gave me in becoming a successful supervisor over my crew. Our paths never crossed again, but his leadership skills I still use today. Pictured is the Giant Sword Team during our SAC days at Barksdale AFB, 2MMS. You will be missed my friend rest in peace. My sincere condolences and prayers for his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. I know he will be greatly missed. We enjoyed the times that we had a chance to get together and visit.  Lots of love to you and your family from all of us.

First of all, my condolences to Sandy and all of Nate’s family.  “Guch”, as most of us weapons troops knew him as, was an exceptional, no nonsense, leader.  He fought for what was right, never backed down, and led by example.  He was a jokester but knew how to balance being serious and having fun while at work.  He had everyone’s respect because he led by emanating respect.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time being stationed at Barksdale and that is predominantly because of Guch’s friendship, leadership style and his overall personality.  I enjoyed many dinners, fish fries, fishing trips and flight line shenanigans working along side him.  His loss is going to be felt worldwide as there are so many weapons troops who were under his guidance during their careers.

I will miss the random texts, phone calls and sharing our fishing photos with one another, talking LSU football as the games are being played.  God puts certain people in our lives for a reason, He put Guch in my life to make me a better Airman, person and overall human being.  Guch was a major influence on my military career and my own leadership style.  God bless him and may the good Lord shine His perpetual light upon him.  I’m gonna miss you, buddy!!!  Slow salute 🫡!!!

I was saddened to learn of Nate's passing, I wish comfort and peace to all his friends and family during this time of grieving. Nate was one of the most influential supervisors I ever had during my time in the Air Force...so many memories, I will never forget him...Rest in Peace, God Bless Nate and his Family.

He was a joy to be around and took care of his troops. I was honored to go fishing with him numerous times but most of all he helped launch my military career further than I could’ve expected.

We are praying that you  will find strength in God's loving care as  you face the difficult days ahead . We are hoping too, that you'll find peace as you reflect on the moments you and Nate shared.
He was loved by his peers  and subordinates alike. He was a great friend, mentor and supervisor. His Cajun turkey and fried fish were the best. He is surely catching all the fish he wants in heaven now. R.I.P. friend. You will be missed .

To my friend Nate…go get all the fish now brother! The thought of not being able to pick up the phone and shoot the breeze with you is horrible but, my loss is everyone else in Heaven’s gain. Your beautiful family is testament to the man you were. Tight lines and following winds my friend. You are loved!

My condolences on your family's loss. Although I don't have any photos, I have cherished memories of working with and learning from Nathan while stationed at Barksdale AFB in the late 90's. His leadership and mentoring left a lasting impression and were pivotal to my personal development. It's a sad day to see one of our own leave, but his legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire the next generation.

When I showed up for my first day at 49TES, the whole crew was "watching annual training videos" which was shorthand for goof off and keep the doors shut.
I opened the door to a scene of chaos that included ceiling fans on high, and about six dudes tossing blue bouncy balls into four ceiling fans. "Training" videos .... yep.

Prior to that, Nate orchestrated a war with Ammo and Loaders at Diego Garcia that culminated in me having to calm the storm because I got really tired of going outside the tent to reset the a/c unit to something less than hellfire and brimstone.

Nate. You will be missed, God love you brother.
