Lucy was born on March 23, 1929 in Bellwood, LA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed to travel with her best friend and husband of 25 years, Robert "Bob" Meredith. Together, they had a lot of fun with their family and church family in parts of Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma or wherever the Lord took them. They made many lifelong friends along the way. Many happy memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Meredith; daughters, Emma Lou Ward and Betty Sue Wynn; son, Michael Bell; five brothers and three sisters. All precious memories to her.
Lucy is survived by her children, Kathryn Horn and husband Jack, Mary Quarles and James Bell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and loving friends. She is also survived by one sister Evon Nichols of Lufkin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted friend and had many devoted friends that she talked of often. They brought a smile to her face and kind words from her when she spoke of them. She still remembered them and spoke of them often.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Dr. Scott Teutsch officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to services.
Pallbearers will be John Wynn, John Wesley Wynn, Brad Wynn, Matt Ward, Alex Bell and Zach Witt.
The family would like to thank the Willis Knighton Bossier ER doctors and nursing staff for their great care and to Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, especially hall 400 staff and Dr. Patrick Deere for many years of care and kindness.
She was truly a special lady to all who knew her and loved her.
