A Celebration of Life Visitation and Memorial will be held for Miss Lauren on Tuesday the 26th at 11 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, 601 Highway 80, Haughton, LA 71037. Officiated by Scotty Gibson. She graced us with her joy for life on January 31, 1992 and started her new journey on April 22, 2022.
Lauren grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana where she attended Apollo elementary and was a member of the soccer team her father coached. She is an Honor Graduate of Airline High School, Class of 2010 and a member at LSUS Fine Arts Dept., where she followed the lead of her mentor, Jason Mackowiak, Associate Professor of Fine Arts. She admired him and aspired to be a professor of Fine Arts as well. She was an active member in many clubs at LSUS such as Improv comedy and co-founder of the "Fantastic Beasts" Quidditch Team.
Welcoming her into her new home are her mom, Becky Lee Nieto, "Pappaw" and best friend, Thomas A. Lee, her "Grandpa" Warren Stroud, her beloved Uncle Stan Eneix, Uncle "Butchy" Nieto, and Uncle Clarence and Aunt Ginny Higdon.
Her life will be forever cherished by her younger sister, Olivia Nieto, "Padre" David Nieto and wife Ginni. Lauren so loved her "Mammaw" Lillian Lee Stroud, "Poppop" Carlos Nieto and "Mommom" Sally Nieto. Surviving her are many uncles, aunts, "Crazy" cousins, and amazing and abundant friends. Lauren touched the lives of so many and to know her was to love her; she had a radiant smile that was infectious.
The family wishes to say a "Special Thank You" to all of the wonderful caregivers and great friends/family at Town and Country Health and Rehab Center, Minden, LA, Neurology, MICU, Pulmonary and Rehabilitation Centers in Shreveport, LA and great families at First Baptist Church of Haughton and First Baptist Church of Minden. We are eternally grateful for the love and support.
