Born in Haynesville, Louisiana to Hugh and Irene Ware on December 4, 1931 Kenneth lived a long and fulfilling life. He joined the Marine Corp in April of 1952 and fought in the Korean war. During this time he received the Korean Service Medal with three stars, the National Defense Medal and the UN Service Medal. Kenneth married the love of his life Dorothy Taylor Ware and they were married for 64 years. After his military service, Kenneth worked for Halliburton for 35 years before retiring and owned his own oilfield vacuum company. He enjoyed many things in life, such as hunting and fishing. He also loved to tell jokes and make other people laugh. He could often be found enjoying time at the coffee shop with his buddies.
He joins in Heaven his parents; sisters, Linda Bailey and Frances Phillips; son, Kenny Ware; wife, Dorothy Taylor Ware; and son-in-law, Bert Turnage.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Lisa Turnage; grandchildren, Suzy Miller and her husband, Cameron, Luke Turnage and his wife, Anne, Steve Turnage, and Mac Ware and his wife Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Murray and her husband, John, Zach Fay and his wife, Charli, Hugh Turnage, and Jorja Turnage; and sister, Norma Sullivan and her husband, Stanley.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 601 Highway 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Old Town Cemetery, LA 534, Haynesville, LA 71038.
Honoring Kenneth as pallbearers will be Luke Turnage, Steve Turnage, Zach Fay, Cameron Miller, Mac Ware and Hugh Turnage.
