A celebration of life service for Jimmie Seals will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 17, at 1:00pm, with Rev. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
Jim was born on August 5, 1943, in Pennington Gap, VA, to Thelma and Mitchell Seals. He passed away on March 12, 2012. He joined the United States Air Force in 1961, where he proudly served for 20 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1981 and continued his career as a dental lab technician. He resided in Bossier City for nearly 40 years.
Jim was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, and uncle. He was highly regarded by all who knew him, whether as a friend, employee, or colleague. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and watching football or golf on Sunday afternoons. He made a lasting impression in all the lives he touched, and he will be remembered for his strength, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Seals; his father, Mitchell Seals; and brothers, Charles Ray Seals and Billy Carr Seals.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Jim are his wife, Pam; son, John, and wife, Brandi, of Tampa, FL; son, Marshall, and wife, Michelle, of Plantation, FL; daughter, Heather, and fiancé, Matthew Baker, of Bossier City, LA; and grandchildren, Taylor, Chad, Brennan, Logan, and Preston. He is also survived by brother, Jim, and wife, Lorraine, of Bosque Farms, NM; brother, Paul, and wife, Pat, of Los Lunas, NM; sister, Shirley Bement, and husband, Don, of Spring Creek, NV; and sister, Sue Price, and husband, Talmadge, of Cumberland, VA; and a loving extended family of many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Seals, Marshall Seals, Matthew Baker, Bobby Seals, Susan Seals, and Larry Stephens.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers Jim and Paul and close friends Glen Armand, Mike McCartney, Mike Bradford, and Alvin Walters.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
