Helen Ann Black

Helen married the love of her life, Walter Black, on March 30, 1957. She loved God, her church, and her family. She enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, cooking/baking, and being a homemaker. Helen was a member of the Catholic Church at Barksdale Air Force Base and had a passion for her women’s group and Bridge Club.

She is survived by her children, Donald Black and wife Cindy, Steven Black and wife Lillian, and Karen Klein; grandchildren, Amanda Moreno and husband Gersain, David Black, Dylan Black, Melissa Black, and Sandra Mason; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Matt Moreno, and Brooklynn Mason; cousin, Susan Fitzpatrick; along with her sister-in-law, Margie Hasch.

Services for Mrs. Black will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton, LA. Visitation will be held between 1 - 2 pm and the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm, each within the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
