She passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Deep River High School as Salutatorian with 12 other classmates. She was married 59 years to Max Taylor prior to his passing in 2014.Throughout Jerry's life she loved family and fun. She enjoyed numerous hobbies which included waterskiing, bowling, horseback riding, fishing, traveling, playing pool, bingo, mahjong, cards and casino's.
Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, husband Max Taylor, and son Norman Taylor.
Jerry leaves behind a loving family including her daughter, Debra Jackson (Daryl) and son, Mark Taylor (Teresa). She also has 4 grandchildren, Troy Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Jessica Taylor (Brandon), and Nicole Taylor.
Graveside services for Mrs. Geraldine "Jerry" Taylor, age 84, of Bossier City, LA, will be held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm also at Hill Crest.
Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Christner, Byron Trust, Larry "Butch" Rose, Paul Rose, BJ Brown, and Dave Letourneau.
The family requests in lieu of flowers to make a memorial contribution in the name of Jerry Taylor to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family can never thank St. Jude enough for their expertise which saved one of her grandchildren's life.
