George E. Franklin, age 89, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
George was born in Crowville, LA to Wilton E. and Zelma (Emfinger) Franklin on December 2, 1934. He joined the Air Force after high school and served for over 20 years. He was always working or finding something to keep him busy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Melva Rae Beall Franklin; and brother, Dennis Ray Franklin.
George is survived by his sons, Edward E. Franklin and Gregory A. Franklin; brothers, Don (Judy) Franklin, and Charles Franklin; one niece and several nephews.
A visitation for George will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Calvin Hubbard officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
