Services for Mr. Gary L House, 75, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Steve Beyer, Minister at Northpoint Community Church Bossier officiating. Interment will follow at the Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm.
Gary was born and raised in Louisiana by his mother, Lorene House, and spent his summers with his Mamaw and Papaw Lewis in Darnel, Louisiana. He worked for General Electric after he graduated from Bossier High School in 1963. Married Anita House in 1964 and had four daughters. He started Sheds and Shelters Construction Company with his brother in-law in 1974. Many years later he and his son in-law started Advantage Contracting Inc.
Gary was big hearted, loved gardening, hunting, fishing, outdoors and helping others. He loved to laugh loudly and joke around with everyone.
He passed away on the morning of July 16, 2021.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene House; father, John “JW” House; and sister, Sandra Ruffin. He is survived by his beloved four girls, Debbie Cory and husband Rick, Brenda Pelt, Sherry Taylor and husband Keithe “Cotton”, and Rebecca House; sisters, Martha Wall, Reba Lewis and husband Andy Lewis; brother, Marshall Ruffin; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren with one on the way; five nieces and two nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Hernandez and PAM Specialty Hospital on the 8th floor of Willis Knighton Piermont Hospital.
