A celebration of his life will begin with a gathering of family and friends between the hours of 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 5, 2020. A Memorial service will follow immediately at 3:00 PM, with Bro. Dana Casey presiding. Each of these will be held within the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton.
Garrett was born to David and Mary Wilson on November 22, 1971, in Battle Creek, Michigan. However, the family relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1978, where Garrett graduated from Southwood High School.
Garrett was an enterprising young man and was a skilled technician within the: Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry where he eventually became a business owner. Mr. Wilson was a man of many passions. Everyone that knew Garrett well, knows all too well, his love for fishing, car racing, and football. “Geaux Tigers !” and “How ‘BOUT them Cowboys. Yes, he loved LSU and the Dallas Cowboys.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by: father, David D. Wilson; mother Mary Frances McCann Wilson; and brother Michael Warren.
He leaves behind: son, Taylor (& Tia) Wilson; sisters, Darlene (& Thomas) Rock, and Deborah Warren; along with Holly Lorenzen and Jennifer Hodge Mattison; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful furry companion, Sassy, not to mention, all those 15 pound bass that got away.
We are sure going to miss him!
