David was born in Shreveport Louisiana on August 15, 1972. David is survived by his father, James M. Conerly and wife Laurie, of Bossier City, Louisiana; his mother, Carole Ann Kaplan of Plano, Texas, and siblings, sister Ainsley Herlehy of Plano, Texas; sister, Claire Madden of Shreveport, Louisiana and brother, John Conerly, wife Karen; and Ed Parish and Leigh Ann Parish of Minden, Louisiana. David is survived by five nieces and nephews: Daryl, Caitlin, Emily, Jack and Mary, and two great-nieces, Ivy and Millie, all of whom loved him dearly.
David graduated from Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas and from TWU in Denton, Texas. He received his Post-Baccalaureate degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He returned to his hometown of Bossier City in 1998 to begin his career.
David was the kindest of souls. He was a loving brother and son with an adventurous spirit and a love for animals, specifically his Dachshund, Bailey, who was his constant companion for 14 years. David enjoyed being outdoors and was always in awe of the magnificence of nature. He was quick-witted and had the best sense of humor always able to make people laugh. David enjoyed fishing and was a devoted Texas Rangers baseball fan. His brother, John, will forever cherish the many memories he shared with David watching the Dallas Cowboys and David’s smile at the last baseball game they attended together.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Abe M. and Melonea Conerly of Natchitoches, Louisiana; maternal grandparents R.I. and Arlene Mitcham of Bernice, Louisiana; as well as his aunt, Judy Parish.
Though you had to let go of this world to find peace, we will hold you in our hearts forever.
We love you, David
