Mr. Curtis Ray Nix went home to be with his Lord on December 07, 2022, at the age of 76. He was born August 07, 1946, in Stamps, Arkansas to Jewel Nix and Clatha Foster Nix. Mr. Nix was a disabled Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army. He retired from International Paper Company in Springhill, Louisiana after 36 years. He loved hunting and camping.
Mr. Nix passed from this life after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma caused by Agent Orange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Nix and Clifford Nix; and sister, Lenora Nix Smith. Mr. Nix is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Elaine White Nix of Sarepta, Louisiana; son, David Nix and wife Ginger of Erie, Colorado; daughter, Angelia Nix Herren and husband Lee of LaVista, Nebraska; daughter, Gennafer Nix Sledge and husband Brian of Keller, Texas; six grandchildren, Zachary Nix, Olivia Nix, Cameron Nix, William Nix, Jackson Sledge and Hudson Sledge; brothers, Jewel Nix Jr. and Bobby Nix of Springhill, Louisiana; sisters, Susie Nix Shelley of Atlanta, Texas, Annie Nix Graves and husband Joe of Taylor, Arkansas, and Carolyn Nix Sissom and husband Steve of Springhill, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be private services for Mr. Nix at a later date.
