William Sterling Pendleton

Mr. William Sterling (Bill) Pendleton, age 79, of Harrogate, TN went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2014. He was born December 10, 1934, the son of the late Roy and Regina (Lingar) Pendleton. Bill was saved at an early age and joined the Indian Creek Baptist Church in 1952 where he was a loyal member until his death. He also served as deacon for 59 years. He served his country in the United States Army, spending most of his time in Germany. When he returned, he was employed by Montgomery Ward for over 35 years. He was preceded in death by Sylvia B. (Littrell) Pendleton, his wife of 58 years; brother, Harold Pendleton of Monroe, MI; nephews, Roger Connor of Monroe, MI, Charles “Sonny” Littrell of Columbus, IN and niece, Lora Leigh Pendleton of Harrogate, TN.. He is survived by his son, Greg (Gail) Pendleton; sister, Wanda (Chet) Susong; brother, Ed (Dorothy) Pendleton; sisters-in-law, Pat Turner of Monroe, MI, Mrs. Esther Helen Brittain of Villa Rica, GA, Mrs. Evelyn Brooks of Harrogate, TN; nieces and nephews, Sandy (Brent) DeWeese, Barbara (Larry) Segar, Penny Baron, Junior (Holly) Pendleton, Joey Pendleton, Steve (Amy) Pendleton, Nancy (David) Bush, Lisa Susong, Craig Susong, Clark (Lynette) Susong, Rosanne (Terry) Brooks, Cindy Crockett, Valerie Brooks, Donna Littrell, Wanda Aaronstam, Kathy Craft, Pam (Brian) Free, Debbie (Bob) Howard and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4-8PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Coffey Funeral Home Harrogate with funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Rev. Clayton Dunsmore, Rev. Stewart Fultz and Rev. Steve Moyers officiating. Music will be provided by Amy Pendleton. Graveside service will be held at Greer’s Chapel Cemetery in Harrogate, TN on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00AM. Pallbearers: Steve Pendleton, Adam Pendleton, Clark Susong, Craig Susong, David Bush, Billy Montgomery, Billy Cunningham and Deloy Collins.
