I so enjoyed John's interviews with Ralph and his beautiful daughters. What a wonderful full life Ralph lived. 97 years of pure honesty. A life where one can trust what father says and the way he did his job here on earth. I will miss him and John getting it on. No matter what they did, or where they went they had us in the palm of their hands. I think one of Gods plans for Ralph was to show the world you don't have to be the most well known or the one with the most money. You can do it on your own. I am pouring my heart out for Ralph because he deserves a good pat on the back. He  deserved all the love he got from his daughters. They sure loved him. Thank God John found him to share to the world.

We loved Ralph and loved his videos on “The Appalachian Channel” on YouTube.  This  generation are national treasures and needed to be respected for their knowledge of our American History that our so called leaders are trying to erase.  I love the stories and this generation is probably gonna be the ONLY source of your local history!  Listen carefully when they’re sharing them .  Treasure this generation and God rest Ralph Robertson’s soul and bless his wonderful family.  Loved that his beautiful daughters let him live in his own home and saw that his needs were met daily. I am very sorry for your loss! I have wonderful childhood memories of Ralph and Magdalene Robertson. Going down to the their store and to shady Grove Church. They both were always so kind. I just want Ralphs family to know how much I enjoyed him and his stories. I will miss him and his stories very much.

I will always remember riding around with my dad in Tennessee. We went from Newport to north Carolina you never knew where you would end up at but that was ok cause I was with my dad love you go rest high and smoke a cigarette with my dad and a cup of coffee

I live down in Tx. my favorite was John and Ralph having breakfast in his kitchen. Felt like I was at the table too. Wish I could have met Ralph.  Thank you for sharing. John Ward; thank you for finding this family.

I have enjoyed watching every one of John Wards videos having to do with Ralph because he reminds me so much of a friend of mine in many ways. Facial expressions and the simple respectful ways he acted towards other people. May God Bless Ralph a true American with good values.

I like to offer my condolences and sympathy to the Robertson family. Ralph was a good guy. I never met him but enjoyed his stories on video.  He remind my alot of my grandfather.  Watching his video you felt that you was there and you known each other.   He will be deeply missed.
