Thomas "Junior" Henry Harris Jr.

He was born on May 17, 1956 in Bedford County, VA and was the son of the late Thomas H. Harris, Sr. and Gladys McCormick Harris.

Junior graduated from Jefferson Forest High School in Forest, VA. For more than thirty years he was transportation manager for Valley Proteins; he was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church.

On December 7, 1979 he married the former Dianne Rudder, who survives. They have celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Also surviving are two daughters, Amy and April Harris; a grandson, Christopher Harris all of Bridgewater; three sisters, Ruby Royall and late husband, Ray of Blackstone, Estelle Ogden and husband, Cary of Huddleston, Ann Harris of Evington; a brother, Reed Harris and wife, Cindy of Forest; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 PM, on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home with Bishop Seth Stratford officiating.
