Harry Garland Smith

He was born on September 10, 1942, and was the son of the late Harry Baker and Ethel Craun Smith.

Harry worked for various drywall companies for 60 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Staunton; daughter, Teresa of Crimora; son, Robert of Waynesboro; stepdaughter, Stephanie and stepson, Scotty, both of Staunton; three grandchildren, Derek, John and Mackenzie; four great-grandchildren, Kymani, Peyton, Liam and Wyatt; and two sisters, Shirley and Arlene.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stanley; and one sister.

A memorial service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Middle River Church of the Brethren with Pastor Kathleen Michael officiating. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
