Shirley Ann Schreiber, 81, of Camp Hill, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, surrounded by the love of her family.
Shirley was born July 29, 1934, in Harrisburg, PA; she was the daughter of the late Daisy Esther Conrad and her husband Harry Hoover; she was preceded in death by her husband, John Schreiber; and her brothers, Albert Conrad and William Conrad.
She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Schreiber, of Camp Hill; and two grandsons, Matthew Schreiber and Andrew Schreiber, both of Harrisburg; and sister-in-law, Esther Conrad, of Mechanicsburg as well as a nephew and nieces.
Born and raised in Harrisburg, Shirley was a graduate of William Penn High School, class of 1954; and attended the Charlton United Methodist Church, Harrisburg. Shirley was a manager for the Blind Concession Stands at the Commonwealth of PA where she retired after 15 years of service to dedicate her life to care for her brother William and his special needs.
Shirley will be remembered for her cooking and baking. The tradition of annual Christmas treats, especially her famous sand tart cookies all will be missed by her extended family and friends. She enjoyed watching sports with her son and grandsons, especially baseball always rooting for her "Phillies".
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
