Roxanne E. Muir

Rozanne Elizabeth Muir, 67, of Chambersburg, PA formerly of Spring Grove, PA and Frederick, MD passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill, PA. Roxanne was born on November 15, 1957, in Springfield, IL to Myra and Glenn Wilson.

Roxanne was a graduate of Shepherd College (now Shepherd University) of Shepherdstown, WV, first in English, and later in Business Administration. She soon became an English teacher at Musselman High School in Inwood, WV. Some years after, she transitioned to the IT Department of NVR Building Products in Thurmont, MD. And soon afterwards moved on to the IT Department at Shepherd University where she worked for a few years more before becoming a full time homemaker to her family in 1995.

She is the loving wife of Gerald Muir II and loving mother of Elizabeth Muir, Glenn Muir and William Muir. She is the loving sister of Merrell Wilson, and of her late sister Glenna Wilson. She is the loving daughter-in-law and friend to Phydellis Muir (and Gerald Muir, deceased) and the loving sister-in-law and friend to Phyllis Muir, Lorraine Muir and her husband Donn Amendolair.

She passed on her passion for the Arts and Literature to her three children, as well as her love of animals, particularly cats. She enjoyed Shakespeare, Tolkien, Agatha Christie, and Poe, and loved many science fiction shows and films such as Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who. Loving all aspects of cooking, she was an avid collector of cookie cutters, cake pans, and kitchenware. Her favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas and always looked forward to them each year. She enjoyed Disney and shared her enjoyment with her family. She was a bright, loving, and funny soul who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
