Born August 6, 1934, in Merrill, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Tyler and Mary Ann (Swartsman) Tillisch.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary (Fritsch) Tillisch who passed away in April of 2022.
Surviving Robert are his son, Stephen Tillisch (Maureen); daughter, Genie Tillisch (James Pash); and 3 grandchildren, Christopher and Sean Tillisch and Christine Pash.
Robert was a veteran who served in the Korean war. He graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelors in Biology. He held a Master's degree from Bucknell University. He was a former Biology Teacher and Football Coach for the Harrisburg School District. He enjoyed watching movies and was a big fan of the New York Yankees and Penn State Football.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Wednesday February 15, 2023 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00am prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow out at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery; Annville, PA.
