Born October 18, 1932 in Shenandoah; he was the son of the late Anthony and Mamie (Casper) Savitsky; and preceded in death by his wife, Joann S Savitsky; 3 brothers; and a sister.
Surviving is his 3 daughters, Suzanne M. Crawford (Brian), Joyce A. Johnson (William) and Lisa A. Savitsky; and 3 grandchildren, Jacob E. Crawford, Arianna A. Johnson and Dakota L. Johnson.
Bob was a retired employee from IBM and a US Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Bob was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church.
Bob was a former Diocesan Director of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) at the Harrisburg Diocese and a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of CYO Directors. His career with the CYO spanned for over 50 years which lead to him being inducted into the Pennsylvania Capital Region Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be from 10:30 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion.
