Vicente Garcia

San Benito, Texas - Vicente Garcia, 66, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was employed and retired from Chrysler Corporation where he belonged to the UAW Local 72 Union in Kenosha, WI. The hobby he enjoyed the most was watching sports. He also enjoyed working on his rose garden and spending time talking with family on the phone.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Guadalupe Garcia; his children, Vicente Garcia, Jr., Loranda Samano, Jesse Garcia, Esteban Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Maribel Garcia-Meckler, and Marisela Garcia; his siblings, Roberto Garcia, Esteban Garcia, Yolanda Rios, Juanita Knott, Maria Reyes Correa, Vicki Terrill, Esmeralda Garcia, Sylvia Garcia, Candelaria Meza, and Reynaldo Cervantes. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jorge Medina, Jesse Garcia, Jr., Jeremy Garcia, Tommy Garcia, Madison Garcia, Alexis Garcia, Casey Garcia, Tyler Meckler, Lexus Garcia, Faith Meckler, Justice Garcia, Haley Garcia, Bryan Garcia, Adolfo Valdez, and Selena Garcia; and his great-grandchildren, Noah Valdez, Johnathan Garcia, Ethan Valdez, Joseph Garcia, and Dallas Garcia.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Harlingen, Texas. Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas
