Gaylord L. Fisher, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on October 23, 2024 at home. He was born on September 13, 1932 in Mansfield, Ohio to John Sherman and Gladys (Rinehart) Fisher. Gaylord was a man of faith, living his life according to the Bible. He was an avid Harness racer and loved horses. He was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything. He wasn’t happy when it was time to retire but continued working for Indiana Auto Auction as a driver. If you needed directions, Gaylord could get you there with ease. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and loved his family dearly. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Cary) Sell, Pamela (David) Sell, Gayleen (Mark) Fogle, and Nancy (Roger) Lake; 10 grandchildren, Todd, Brian, Cheri, Joe, Jeff, Jennifer, Heather, Mindy, Rodney; 14 great grandchildren, Sarah, Erika, Devin, Katelynn, Isabelle, Blake, Drew, Brantley, Corey, Allen, Roscoe, Jack, Ava, Ellison; great-great grandchild, Kennedy; and three siblings, Charlie Fisher, Patty Larson, and David Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Oma; daughter, Sandra Fisher; three siblings, Don, Doris, and Gerald. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 State Road 37, Harlan, Indiana 46743. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Scipio Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Riley Hospital for Children.
