She was the daughter of Emery W. Lesley and Marjorie Sandburg Lesley. Stella's great uncle was the famous poet Carl Sandburg. In her early life she was a homemaker and the mother of six which she raised in the Visalia area. She was a grandmother, a great grandmother, and even a great-great grandmother to numerous children. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald (Spook) James Reed of Visalia. Stella also lived in Lindsay where she worked as a fruit packer and upon retiring moved to the Tulare area.
She was an artist and had a natural ability for painting starting at a young child. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. Tiger Woods was her favorite golfer. She had great admiration for Bernie Sanders and even contributed to his campaign on several occasions. During the pandemic she spent hours listening to her favorite musical group IL VOLO.
She was a positive person and made the best out of every situation. She was also known for her quick wit and sarcasm. Her kind heartedness and generosity will not be forgotten. She is survived by her daughter Karen Kissinger of Hanford. No services will be held and in lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
