Shirley A. Brown

February 27, 1939 – February 11, 2018

Shirley A. Brown passed away at the age of 78 on February 11, 2018 in Hanford, California in a local hospital after a long illness.

Shirley was born on February 27, 1939 in Hanford, California to Frank and Alvida Oliveira. Shirley had been a lifelong resident of the Lemoore and Hanford area. She attended local schools and graduated from Hanford High School.

Shirley met Andrew Brown and they were married on October 15, 1960. They have been married for the past 57 years. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley worked as bookkeeper for many years for several local businesses before retiring.

Shirley is survived by her husband; Andrew Brown of Hanford, a daughter; Tonia Nabors and husband Russ, 2 sons Andrew Brown Jr. and Guy Brown and wife Theresa all of Hanford, her siblings Leonard Oliveira of Lemoore, Elaine Jones of Georgia, Mary Ann Brown of Arkansas, Mike Daugherty of Lemoore, Bill Daugherty of Arkansas 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Alvida Oliveira, her sister Adeline Costa and 3 brothers Danny, Richard and Eddie Oliveira

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21st at Koinonia Christian Fellowship Church “Learning Center Building”; 12536 Hanford-Armona Rd, Hanford with Burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Ave, Hanford, CA.
