Marilyn, born in Armona, California on July 27, 1936, she attended Hanford High School, College of the Sequoias and Fresno State University where she obtained her teaching credential. She and her brother Darryl were raised primarily in the Armona area by her parents Leo and Ruby Huffman. She married her first husband William Cook on August 23, 1958 and they remained married until his untimely death in June of 1961. Marilyn married her current husband Edward Williams on August 3, 1963 and they had recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Marilyn enjoyed her 35 year career as an elementary school teacher, teaching primarily 3rd grade. Having retired in 1996, she began traveling extensively with her husband, family and friends. Her travels included visits throughout Europe and China. A loving grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, painting and crocheting. Marilyn was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Armona and Hanford.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Edward Williams, her sons Rick Williams and his wife Patty of Hanford, Kent Williams of Campbell and her daughter Tracy and her husband Mark Warren of Los Altos Hills. She is also survived by her brother Darryl Huffman and his wife Patsy of Star, Idaho as well as four grandchildren: Neil and Julia Williams and Alexandria and Ashley Warren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Ruby Huffman, her first husband William Cook and grandson Derek Williams.
Visitation will be conducted at People's Funeral Chapel located at 501 N. Douty Street in Hanford on January 2, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Graveside funeral services will be held on January 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Grangeville Cemetery located at 10428 14th Avenue in Armona. A reception will immediately follow the burial with the location to be announced at the time of the service.
