Joseph Daniel McMillan, 64 also known as “Mac” was born on January 16, 1951 in Geneseo, IL to Wesley Emmit and Cleone Marie McMillan, he passed away to be with our Lord on October, 13, 2015 in Lemoore, CA.
Mac is survived by his wife of 39 years Margaret Sandoval McMillan and his only child, Christine McMillan and husband Ryan along with his siblings: John McMillan, Jim McMillan, Janet Conner, Jane Nielsen and Jeff McMillan and their spouses, plus several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Cleone McMillan.
Mac was a mechanic for 25 years and worked for Decker Ford in Clovis, CA now called Future Ford, then decided to go back to school to get his License Vocational Nurse License. He worked for the Veterans Hospital in the CLC unit for four years until he became ill.
Mac loved helping people; he did not consider anyone a stranger. His greatest passion was hunting and fishing, he loved being in the middle of nature and outdoors. He also enjoyed playing the bass guitar at special occasions with his wife. Mac was a great provider, and deeply loved his family.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1000 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, IL with U.S. Navy Military Funeral Honors.
