Diana was born on June 21, 1961 in San Diego County. She has been a member of the Hanford community for over 20 years. She was cared for by Smith Adult Residential Care-since November 2002.
There were many things that she could not control in her life, but she still created her own happiness. She maintained a good sense of humor and fierce independence. She was spontaneous, energetic and playful. Diana did all the things that she enjoyed even to the end. How she lived her life was one of the
many gifts that she gave to those around her. She loved others. She would give hugs and kisses to those she was close too.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to the management and staff members of Terrace Facility and Smith Adult Day Program for their love and generosity in caring for Diana. To Dianne Dixon, for being a true advocate, and to the Residency Clinic doctors for treating her with dignity and respect. A special consideration and acknowledgment goes to Lee and Catherine Smith for creating a home for individuals with special needs.
God’s Garden
God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering; He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, “peace be thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Comfort Inn; 10 N. Irwin Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-9300.
