Nancy Lamb, 95, passed away on August 25, 2018. She was born in Crozet, Virginia and was a Hampton resident for more than 56 years. Nancy was a physical therapist in Hampton for many years for Dr. Downey before retiring. She was a wonderful cook and a loving person with many talents and interests. Nancy loved to knit and was involved with several churches, youth groups, and Joy choir. She was a trusted neighbor and a friend who was always willing to offer a helping hand to whomever was in need. Nancy never met a stranger and connected with everyone she met. She was always encouraging and had a positive, uplifting outlook on life. Many who met her viewed it as a privilege to have known her because of her caring and understanding nature. Nancy will be remembered and missed by all the individuals she has touched and the lives she has influenced.
She is predeceased by her late husband, William Stanley Lamb; son, Guy Lamb; and daughter, Penny Sue Lamb. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a reception to follow.
