 Obituario de Margaret Jones Black
Margaret J. Black, 93, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011. She was a native of Isle of Wight County, Virginia and a lifelong Peninsula resident. Margaret was an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Service, Department of Defense and retired in 1968 after 27 years of service. She was a member of Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church and also attended Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Oriental Chapter 30, Order of the Eastern Star, and Zulekia Court #35, Ladies Oriental Shrine. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Mary T. Jones; brother, Burince C. Jones; sister, Mary E. Jones; and former spouse, George F. Black, Sr. She is survived by her son, George F. Black, Jr. and his wife Kay; daughter, M. Elaine Franz and husband Robert; grandchildren, Margaret Kay Jenkins and husband Ken; Wendy Rhodes and husband Todd, George F. Black, III and wife Heidi, and Ryan Daniel Franz; great-grandchildren, Dusty Jenkins, Crystal Meier and husband Jeff, and Mckenzie and William Black; sister, Ruth J. Martin and husband Ed; nephew, Wesley Jones and wife Nell; and nieces, Melinda Worrell, Cathy Plymel, and Debbie Teller and husband Greg and their children. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church or Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church.
