Lorene was born on May 12, 1925, to Myrtle Clark Gibson and Novia Farley Gibson in Macon County, NC. She made her home in Hampton VA in 1959.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Vinson Garrett. She is survived by her son; Danny Garrett (Partner Noom) of Raleigh, NC, Daughter; Brenda Frye of Hampton, Grandchildren; Karen White (Chris) of Mechanicsville, VA, Marla Dalton (Larry) of Selma, NC, Hope McKendree ( Andy) of San Antonio, TX, and David Garrett of Gordo, AL; as well as her 10 great-grandchildren!
The family will receive friends at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
A graveside celebration of her life will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 29th followed by a reception at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
