John Thomas Brown

John Thomas “JT” Brown, 40, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was native of Anderson, S.C. and a resident of Hampton for 27 years. J.T. was a “Jack of all Trades” and lived life to the fullest. Family and Langley Speedway were the two loves of his life. He was compassionate, caring, and free-spirited and truly will be missed by all who knew him. J.T. was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Brown; maternal grandparents, John and Mattie Gambrell; and paternal grandparents, Troy and Elizabeth Brown. He is survived by his parents, Roy E. and Linda G. Ridgley; three sisters, Angie Milne (Stuart), Gail Brown (Steve), Dona Wright (Bucky); and his nieces and nephews, Tommy (Reva), Katelyn, Ridge, Melody, Krystal, Ariel, Alexa; and very special friend, Lisa McKnight. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of J.T.'s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 11, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
