He was born on May 5, 1981, in Newport News, Virginia. Jason is survived by his mother, Darlene Shafer of Hampton, Virginia; his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, her children Zoe, Charlie, Matthew; aunts, uncles, & cousins. Jason is predeceased by his father, Randall Shafer, and brother, Brandon Allan Shafer; Maternal grandparents, Madeline & Joseph F. Blankley Sr; Paternal grandparents Lucille & Lawrence Shafer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Service and burial will be private.
