James Warren Weeks

James Warren Weeks, Sr., passed on Friday, October 13, 2023. James Warren Weeks, Sr., age 82, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born in Greensboro, NC to the late James M. and Jeanette B. Weeks. James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Jeanette Weeks; twin brother Dwaine B. Weeks Sr.; and grandson Austin Herman. James spent 42 years working at Newport News Shipyard and Drydock. He worked as a clerk in department OB53 where he was known as "JW" by his many beloved coworkers. He was a dedicated member of the Tidewater Street Rod Association, and a graduate of Oscar Smith High School class of 1959. James leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, of 59 and a half years, Linda Faye; his children Penny Jeanette Weeks-Hinton, James "Jimmy" Weeks Jr., and Irma Taylor; his grandchildren Joshua Shawn Ford, Michael Ryan Ford, Dylan Worth Hinton, Drake Hermann, Collin Hermann (Sammi), and Chelsea Hermann; and four great-grandchildren Autumn, Brynlee, Bratley, and Kanan.
