Hazel J. Dunford, 95, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, her 70th wedding anniversary. Hazel, a native of Caretta, W. Va., and a 33 year resident of Hampton, and a 34 year resident of Lanexa, Va. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Williamsburg, and a former member of Victory Baptist Church of Hampton.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Ben and Elizabeth Clark, a son, Wayne Pendry, and daughter, Rita May, 8 sisters, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her son, Parker Pendry, of W. Va., a daughter, Sherry Dunford Doiron of Toano, Va., a sister, Theodosia “Dorsey” Weakland of Florida, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great children.
A private service was held on Monday, December 9 at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, Va., and was conducted by Chaplain Beth Johanson..
