Mr. Fullman moved to Hampton as a young boy and graduated from Hampton High School in 1939. He began working for the Telephone Company in 1940. In 1944, he entered the U.S. Army and served in Europe during World War II. While in France, he met Jeanne DeHass. The couple were married and returned to Hampton to begin their family.
Mr. Fullman is preceded in death by his parents Robert F. Fullman and Ella R. Honeck; brother, Robert Fullman; sister, Valentine Verell, and son, Kim D. Fullman.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jeanne M. Fullman; his sons, Charles L. Fullman and wife, Glennell of Hampton, and Larry F. Fullman of Hampton; daughter, Robbin F. Helms of Toano; grandchildren, Abigail Contreras, Elizabeth Kidd, and Caroline Morris all of Charlottesville, and Jonathan Helms of Toano; and eight great-grandchildren
Mr. Fullman's favorite activities were fishing and fixing things. He enjoyed family gatherings and his love for his family was evident in every day of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted by Pastor James Nickols on Thursday, May 6 at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
