Catherine J. Tyndall

She was born June 3, 1928 in Clinton, North Carolina the daughter of H.D. and Rozelle Parker Jones. She was the oldest of 6 siblings.

Catherine graduated from Emmanuel College and Old Dominion University. She was a teacher with Hampton City Schools for over 35 years. Catherine was married to her husband, John B. Tyndall for 61 years.

Catherine was a charter member of New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher, pianist and Women's Ministry Director. She enjoyed vacationing at Fairy Stone State Park for more than 50 years.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband John; her parents Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Jones and brothers Ronald, Royce and Gene. She is survived by her daughter Brenda and husband Richard; grandchildren Amber Shea, Nathan Loving and his wife Amber; great grandchildren Austin, Riley and Caylee; brothers Glen Jones, Larry Jones and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 10, 2021 at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home 2551 N. Armistead Ave Hampton, VA 23666. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Park.

In remembrance of Catherine's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Emmanuel College P.O. Box 129 Franklin Springs, GA 30639.
