I have worked alongside Barry for the past 17 years.  He was first and foremost a family man - but then once you got to know him he made you feel like family.  I looked up to him so much, I will miss him even more.  He was my "Work Husband"  More than a co worker - better than a boss - we worked together as a team.   My life and Professional Heating and Cooling are better off having known him, and there is a hole in our lives that will never be filled.  My love to Connie and Jason & his grand children.  You all were the light of his life.

Barry and I worked together for over 25 years. He was the type of person that was full of laughter always cracking a joke. He had a long history of telling  stories and we even talked about our experiences of working together. I would often joke with him when he start telling his stories . I would say "War Stories with Barry Stinson".  He was such a great guy, and loved Connie ,Kieth and Jason so much family was everything to him. But his grand kids were the apple  of his eye. We would talk all the time about our grand kids an we both felt like we knew each others as if they were our own. Words cannot express my deep love for this man he was like a brother to me. I will surely miss you my friend.

Barry is a larger than life character that will be missed by many.  His technical expertise, experience, and customer service made him so valuable as our Service Manager and teammate at Professional.  There was nobody better under pressure when a major facility was crashing and he had to send the cavalry in to save the day.  He possessed a John Wayne kind of swagger and loved to tell stories of all the adventures from his work and personal life.  He was a true friend and a mentor to me and many others.  God Speed Kemosahbe.  I Love You Man.

I worked with Barry for 20 years while I was employed at The Wendy's Company. We would argue, have spirited debates and before the call or meeting would end we always talk about his family, my family and hunting. We never ended the call upset with each other. He bailed me out of tough situation with AC systems or refrigeration down many times. He always came through.  When I needed a job he said "come on over I can use you". I will miss my friend, buddy, and brother. Rest in peace Barry, you are one of the great ones.

Barry, was my first cousin; my mother’s brother’s oldest son. He was a terrific individual that left every one with whom he came in contact with, better off for having known him.

He knew how to treat people and was an excellent son, brother, husband,  father and grandfather. Barry was also a friend to hundreds and they loved him as we all did!

I will always recall the younger years when we all played baseball, fished and hunted together. Those were tremendous years and I would not trade those memories for anything.

The Stinson and Compton families have always been as one.  Barry’s loss will impact us all but none of us will ever forget his passion for life, love for others and his heart as big as all outdoors!

Simply said, all of us are left  as being better people by knowing and loving Barry.  You can rest now buddy...thank you for all you gave to us and your legacy of love you leave behind.

I knew Barry from my job at Virginia Air.
We worked together for many years and I will miss him.
I knew that underneath that gruff, no nonsense personality, there was a big teddy bear and I was fortunate to know that side of Barry.

What a great handsome man he was. I always admired the way he always looked at Mrs Stinson with so much love.  A big teddy bear always making sure his boys were nice to us girls. He welcomed us all to his house after we would be freezing from our snow days. I’ll always remember being there with him at Keith’s bedside we just looked at each other wishing we could do something but we just prayed together! We cannot  understand what Gods plan is but we must always trust him! Love you all! 

To my dearest friend Connie. We go way back and I can remember our lives as if it was yesterday. I fell head over heels with Barry and his infectious smile. He was such a joy to be around. I will miss him dearly but I know that he's in a better place. Be strong Connie and Jason. Barry is always in your heart.

I was so saddened to hear that Barry left us to be in Heaven. Just now learned this @ 8:40 pm on 9-26-18.  My heart goes out to his wife Connie and the rest of his family.  I first met the Stinson clan back in the early 80's where I worked at Booth Supply Co. in Hampton. I managed the store and Stinson Refrigeration was a very good customer of ours. Bob, Barry, Brad, and Bruce became my friends. Barry was a very good man with a good heart. He leaves behind a huge amount of people that love him and will miss him for some to come.  You are not truly gone from us because you will live in the hearts of the people that love you. May God Bless the entire Stinson Family...  Keary Fox



Barry was such a kind man, lived in our neighborhood, helped us with our hvac system. Loved his boys, and his precious Connie was such a good friend. He was a great dad, friend and a loving husband. Prayers for Connie and Jason's family. Lean on God during this difficult time. RIP, dear Barry.
