James Carrol Stevens of Hamilton passed away at home on October 25, 2022. He was born in Belton, Texas on May 20, 1944 to Charlie Cleo and Nadine Elizabeth Stevens. James was a lifelong resident of Texas, He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and was deployed to Vietnam where he was a mechanic working on helicopters and door gunner on a helicopter. He work construction and then became a professional truck driver until he retired in 2001. James enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and woodworking. He is survived by his wife Joy Stevens of Hamilton daughter Tonya Worley and Tami Stevens two grandchildren Shelby Stevens and Zachary Grundy all of Mineral Wells. Brothers, Bobby Stevens and wife Linda, Charlie Stevens and wife Debbie. Sisters Shirley Stevens, Becky Porter, Judy White and Husband James all of Hamilton, Glenda Olf and Husband Devin of Jacksboro, Texas. He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Billy Roy Stevens.
